Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'm not quite certain if this is the correct category for this post, so I'd really appreciate some guidance on where to move it if necessary. I'll also provide version numbers bellow, feel free to ask me about any useful info that I may have left out.

I've been daily driving Ubuntu Touch on my Fairphone 5 for almost 6 months now and I'm really happy with it. However, there is an issue that I've been unable to solve by tinkering around on my own.

While running Whatsapp inside the Waydroid container installed via Waydroid Helper, the caller can hear themself through my mic with a big delay, which makes it incredibly frustrating to maintain a conversation.

I did some research and found out that this was a "device specific" issue on the Oneplus 3/3T:

      https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/861
I lack the experience and knowledge to figure out how to fix this on my device so I would really appreciate some help.

Let me know if there is any specific steps I could take to help resolve this audio issue for everyone, as that really is my goal here. Thank you so much for your attention to this matter!

      Version numbers and useful info:
      Device: Fairphone 5
      OS: Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.3
      Waydroid OS: LineageOS 20-20260403-VANILLA-waydroid_arm64
      Waydroid Helper version: 3.3.0
