Did you ever consider becoming a cooperative?
-
after reading through this thread I'm left wondering: has this community ever considered becoming a cooperative?
There's a series of advantages in becoming a cooperative that could potentially be worth the slightly higher effort, like:
- A transparent and democratic governance model
- Member funding
- Access to micro-loans and/or donations
- Fiscal advantages (at least in some EU countries)
Are there any discussions around this?
Thanks

We are currently working on making UBports a legal entity, you have some good points there. It should be done soon (TM).
<shameless self-promotion>Btw, we are already accepting donations on our patreon page :)</shameless self-promotion>

@NeoTheThird I'm more than eager to contribute, even substantially (β¬50/100 a month) on Patreon, but I'd much appreciate if we could move towards a coop (or other legal entity model) ASAP.

@antanicus The plan is to make a foundation under German law, then it will become much easier to handle money flows officially. Stay tuned
