Could you share a little more about Unity8 / Mir on the Edge channel, please.

With from what I am understand it to be an upcoming complete removal of Oxide from the code, will some or all Ogra based webapps stop working after OTA8 or OTA9?
If so, is it possible to see some development happen on Webapp Creator and/or the Morph Browser to easier facilitate recreating these to the post-Oxide code base? -
There is many version of rootfs, hybris, edge, mainline....
There is no doc to explain each version and when use it.
Also for arm64 UT is broke ? libhybris for caf device with halium-7.1 ? -
Now that latest mir is almost done (i guess you guys are aiming OTA-9), what is next on your focus list? What's your priority in:
- mainline devices (pine / purism)
- anbox
- full wayland (replacing mir protocol)
- unity desktop
- hidl hardware layer
- whatever cool thing i missed

Mir will not be fully replaced. When new Mir is switched to, clients will be able to use Wayland. However, until certain features are implemented in wayland protocol extensions, the Mir client protocol has to be used for those features (trusted prompt sessions primarily).

Thanks for giving us a tantalizingly quick flash of Unity8 on the Edge, @UniSuperBoxI was thinking... As with Unity7, shouldn't the orange "Ubuntu" button open the wider range of apps? With the app tray reserved for the most common ones we use? Then you can flick them away (or use the windows controls if you're in desktop mode) as you do with a normal app...

All is as described, but open apps appear on the Launcher (official name for the dock/tray) of course.
