@UBportsNews Hi, I would like to contribute to the OS development. I haven't had a hands on with UTouch so far, so I'd be grateful to have a device from this stack.
By interest I am a smartphone geek and have ported hybris/SailfishOS to my previous device (YU Yureka-YU5510), I also attempted porting halium but was limited by the device's partition structures not being able to swallow the halium-boot.I am a software developer based in India, working with dotnet framework at my workplace, which is somewhat unhelpful for Qt development but I've played with c++ quite often during my bachelor's course.

hi guys. In Italy so many friends want to quit with android and IOS and discover linux with the incredible work you're doing. I'm trying to test it through OP3 but a device like these would be great

I am interested in working on the ubports project. Since I am super green I am wondering if it is possible to work on it without a device? I don't want to take one away from someone who needs it more if I am just starting out contributing.

Hi @UBportsNews , I am a Network Dev Engineer and have a good knowledge in IP Stack, Kernel development, kernel crash analysis, Open Networking and also OpenSSH. Along with this having an experience in working with Web development and Android app development. So I would like to use this opportunity to look for contribution to open-source as well as learn from them.

@UBportsNews Hey! UK, London based Python and C++ developer here. I can't wait for Pinephone and Librem 5 as I really want to start coding/testing on Linux based device. I went fully Remote now so I can start dedicating my time to open source stuff. I am currently working on an open Bioinformatics tool, and it would be cool to get it running on a device like that too. I am very interested.

Hey @UBportsNews,
I'm maintainer of OrbTk https://gitlab.redox-os.org/redox-os/orbtk it's an (G)UI Toolkit written in Rust. It is a personal matter to port it to Ubuntu Touch. At the moment I have one device (OPO) for Android and Ubuntu Touch. Unfortunately have switch back and forth between UT and Android. It would be much more comfortable if I had a single device only for UT. If you think it is worth more to give a device to one how want to contribute direct to UT it's fine and I'll definitely keep going with the port.

Hello, I'm in Italy and Ubuntu is only for a few people. I'd like to help you with bug-testing on UT and to give a chance to everyone to know UT.
Cheers

@UBportsNews
I would love to help with Ubuntu touch development. I'm in Canada, and have done work on mobile before. Willing to help develop the OS as well. -
I am interested in helping. I am developing some native apps on gnome for a touch device, such as SIP Phone, Domotik Controller, Internet Radio and a Wireshark-a-like app.
What I need is maybe the phone. For testing the Network Bands in Mexico and the functionality for a final user.
Hope you can contact me.

Would love to try and get into developing this.

Hello guys!
I'm an Italian IT teacher, in school laboratories students use and develop mainly for teaching purposes on Linux.
I would like to start a project with my students, develop applications for the Ubuntu touch system, training students, divided into teams, to whom to assign progressive work steps.
If you grant us a compatible device, I will be forever grateful, and my students will have an enormous benefit.
I have no preferences on the test device. Thanks in advance!
