I'm wondering how hard is porting to a Samsung devices as there is a lot of Android open source codes for most of the phones and tablets.
Have a look here, there is a Galaxy S7 as an example:

It might be a good thing to include a Galaxy devices as they are used a lot and are easy to get, maybe some Android users can bolster our community?

I tried to port to S3 but I failed with GUI. Maybe will try again in the future.

Ppl are afraid of the download mode which requires a Windows tool (or the broken Heimdall tool for linux)

Why do you say it's broken? I just used it to flash LineageOS on a device? Is it incomplete or broken for newer devices? This was for a 2014 Note 10.2 or whatever. It worked fine.

Ah, I did build the latest from source in a docker container and use it that way. So I guess YMMV. πŸ˜„
