I am wondering if I am the only one really annoyed by the preference of the autocorrect features to always go for the longer options. Compared to Android keyboards, it consistently forces long words over shorter ones, especially in German, and that makes it very tedious to write as I constantly have to fix the autocorrect.

Is there some way this behaviour can be adjusted?

Fairphone 5 (Not yet installed UT on it though)

@povoq You can set the options to not change the words or even turn the autocrrect off (solves some issues with TextAreas as well)

@cibersheep sure, but I would rather have some slightly more sane default behaviour 🙂

@povoq So, it seems a project you might want to start 😄
I don't know where is the logic but try looking here: https://github.com/ubports/keyboard-component/tree/xenial/src/lib/logic
