Bug two sim cards only one is working perfect
-
@fp2andfp3-user I have similar issues with 2 simcards on FP2. It worked perfectly for some time, but now the 2nd sim card only works randomly as does theSD card. I am wondering if this is not a hardware issue. The modularity of FP2 is vulnerable to loose contacts etc.
-
@nogoogle on my FP2 everything Works fine. I have tested also! my bug describes FP3.
I have tested also with efoundation eelo Rom. There everything works fine.
HM...crazy -
@fp2andfp3-user I have had a similar issue, when I created the port initially, but for only one sim card. Phone and sms only did work with an active data-connection...
So maybe the fix I introduced for it, does only work for one sim card... or may be the fix is no longer needed and it breaks more functionality, than it does fix...I will have a look into it.

@luksus It will not start your last image. What is wrong?
-
@fp2andfp3-user do you mean the latest here: https://gitlab.com/ubports/community-ports/android9/fairphone-3/fairphone-fp3/-/pipelines ?
It works for me.
What happens in your case? -
@luksus yes nothing! See the fp3 Logo and nothing happened
-
@fp2andfp3-user did it automatically reboot at some point? Maybe once after flashing?
Do you know which channel (A or B ) you flashed? -
@luksus tried again and download image again....I haven checked channel A or B, no automatically reboot....wait
-
@fp2andfp3-user I am asking because in case of an error, the phone may switch automatically to the other channel and there it will not boot, if it is not flashed with a proper boot and systemimage...
So what you can do to get sure, is:
- check active channel:
fastboot getvar slot-active:a
- if A is active, then it should print "yes", else B is active
- set active / switch channel:
fastboot --set-active=a
- you can flash the desired channel:
fastboot flash system_a system.img
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
- check active channel:
-
@fp2andfp3-user 10 Minutes I see only bootlogo.... I will try with set channel to a
-
@fp2andfp3-user It shows me now channel a but i try flashing again with boot_a und system_a
-
@fp2andfp3-user shall I try channel b? I think it will stop again by the fp3 logo....I will wait a little bit
-
@fp2andfp3-user in the end, it does not matter which channel you flash.
It is just important that you boot the channel you just flashed...So if nothing helps, try to flash the stock system image first and then again the ubports system image (no need to reboot in between).
-
@luksus what is the stock image? Older Images will boot its no problem. No Chance I see only FP3 logo
-
@fp2andfp3-user I mean the system.img from the stock android 9 system.
But if older images boot, that seems not neccesary...If it is stuck on the Fairphone logo, could you get an ssh connection with
ssh phablet@10.15.19.82
?And can you please verify that it not says "Failed" at the last "flash part" (the system image is flashed in ~520MB parts)?
-
@luksus ssh is not working when I see the logo.
I flashed with -S 300MB and it told me OKAY finished total time134s
-
@fp2andfp3-user the older one no problem...I'm back on the image 6 days ago
-
@fp2andfp3-user hm, then I have currently no idea...
-
@luksus I will wait for the next image and try again. No problem. Thanks
-
@fp2andfp3-user I don't understand, your new images is also not flashable for me....all older images are okay... I tried with ubuntu and with windows 10 no chance...damm
