Unlocked bootloader question
-
Dumb question, may not be device specific. When I shut down the phone with a hard reset, should the bootloader be re-locked? Does that affect booting?

@totalrando I am no expert and could be completely wrong but I do not think UT has a way of locking the bootloader and you must have a signed version of Android to relock it.
I looked into getting rid of the warnimg on reboot and the XDA people all say it is impossible without relocking the bootloader. If you build your own Android image and sign it yourself there is a way to relock it .

@antidroid There has to be some way, and I'm starting to get the feeling the images are going to have to be redone anyway with the 32/64-bit issue. There are serious problems, not just with the files, but even with call pickup. I like this phone and I feel like it can work well with UT. Going to start researching how to make a new image.

@totalrando It won't. You can re-lock the bootloader only through fastboot oem. On older oneplus devices flashing OOS could also lock the bootloader, but i haven't see that happen on OP6 yet.
