I have two of this cell phones. The installation was ... (easy) ...
in both cases the displa cannot be turned
with one, the display does not respond about 1 cm at the upper edge.
In the case of the other, the lower edge can only be moved with a lot of patience
at the account generic-caldav no keyboard .
With one you can use the front-rear camera, with the other only the main camera

        anybody any ideea ?

Which versions are running on the two OnePlus 3?

          VollaPhone22 (dual-boot of VollaOS and UT 20.04 OTA-5), Pocophone F1 (pmOS, edge)

16.04 I've tried it out with all of the repositories. Identical everywhere.

              16.04

Most devices are based on 16.04 🙂 The interesting part is shown in parens under: System Settings|About|Software|OS, e.g. Ubuntu 16.04 (OTA-18)
This version is on my OpenPlus 3T and rotation works (as always). Have you checked Rotation|Rotation Lock?

Which Android versions did your devices have before installing UT?

              VollaPhone22 (dual-boot of VollaOS and UT 20.04 OTA-5), Pocophone F1 (pmOS, edge)

I took another close look at the channels and set it to stable. It says 04/16 (OTA-18). I was probably too hasty. Rotation now works for both devices.
One cm does not work at the top on one, and on the other at the bottom

With one of them, the camera works well at the front and rear. The other one stops when I want to put the camera on the back

Play video works with both only with the extra video player from the open store

                Best wishes Christian

                  It's rotating for me.
I have managed to install Ubuntu touch on my oneplus 3T today. Wow what a day. Very hard to do.
Anyway originally it wasn't rotating. Then I went to settings > Updates > Pressed the Gear icon at left to access > Update settings > Channels
I selected "Development" and than did a restart. I took a few minutes to install the updates. Then when the device turned on it was rotating ok.
                  Hope that is helpful.

                  Camera's video option not working.

@6mv said in Display do not rotate and some more:

                    I selected "Development"

That should not be needed to get rotation (it's working on mine) and it's not recommended if this is your daily driver. If it's a toy and you just want to experiment, then feel free.

                      @moem Thanks Moem.
Is it risky? I am playing at the moment, but I had enough with google and want a linux device with basic functions.
                      What do you advise?

@6mv I advise the Stable or RC channels for phones that are used as a daily driver. I use the RC channel on my Xperia X, it works fine.

Oneplus 3 can certainly be used as a day-to-day device if it does not bother you that you can record videos on it. I have found nothing else wrong with it.

I have right now installed OTA 25 on a OnePlus 3 (not 3T), and I'm sorry to say that rotation does not work.
