there are lots of reports and informations. One of the actual issues might be the latest installer, maybe you have to try an earlier version.
However: be patient, it will work then - good luck! -
@messayisto I tried many times, I tried it on ubuntu on windows, I tried on ubports-installer _9-beta, it never worked, I tried on ubports-installer_0.8.8-beta but this time the phone was stuck on "android one",

@fikirsancisi61 when the ubuntu recovery starts did it show slot a or slot b? I had success only on slot a.
Also make sure you have stock android 9. You may have to do a fastboot flash of the files.
