No sms notification at all

Hello,
I am on rc.
Since a few days I don't get any sms notifications at all. No sound, nothing in the top bar, also no notification on the app icon in the launcher. Only when I open the app, I see in the names that a sms has come.
Does anyone know this problem?There is a ringtone set up in the sound settings.

@messayisto From yesterday it is working again, without any intervention ... very strange.
but today it has deleted a complete sms history for me; one contact only. This is even stranger...
No one else with issues in the sms-app on xiaomi mi a2? -
