something wrong with display settings?

I just installed UT on a sony xperia x compact..but after booting I get nothing but stripes on the screen. Has anybody been dealing with this problem before?
And which way can I try to install it again? I can't do anything with the xperia now (not even turning it off) because I can't see what I'm doing.
