OTA update keeps failing and appears in some way to have corrupted UT. I cannot even get into fastboot, so it may have done some real damage.

Solved. Bad USB port on PC, swapped out and reinstalled UT using the installer. Oddly, don't get the Fastboot Xiaomi symbol, just a black screen.
