        Just installed the current devel image into my pointless Jingpad πŸ¦† .

        If I reboot it in the supplied case, rotation does not work. Take it out of case and reboot and rotation works, even after it is returned to case.

        Case is magnetic.

          @xircon I just came across that behavior today myself.

            @arubislander I "upgraded" to 20.04 to see if it helped with webber, but I now think what I witnessed is a coincidence... I think rotation randomly works and is nothing to do with the case.

            Will investigate more tomorrow.

              My JingPad does the same thing. Maybe 1 in 20 boots the rotation will go to landscape mode in the supplied case the rest are in portrait mode when it should be landscape. I do not know about booting in the keyboard as my JingPad keyboard stopped working a few months ago.

              Agree: pointless JingPad

              Edit: the JingPad may have issues but thanks go to the devs working on this. The JingPad company left us with nothing and UBPorts came to the rescue. Hopefully things will get better in time.

                @el_pinguino think I am about to give up on it and just buy a cheap android tablet 😞

                It is definitely not the case as have rebooted a lot and most of the time it boots to landscape, will not change to portrait.

                    I upgraded to 20.04 last night and this fixed the rotation problem.

                    But, I still don't have the external keyboard function. 😞

                      Are you sure this is not a hardware problem? If you think not, maybe start a new thread about it, since this one was about rotation issues.

                        @arubislander

                        Very possible this is a hardware problem. I have reinstalled the original android OS to the JingPad to see. If I have more issues I will start another thread.
