Finally got one at a good price. Good condition, paid a bit more than I wanted, but it is unlocked and in good condition...
Came with Android 11.02 installed and of course I want to see that Ubuntu Logo on it...

For those that wish to follow me, here is my UT on the OPO 6T....

Downgrade your Android to Android 9, follow this guide here.

Once you have downgraded and set Android back up, you need to unlock the bootloader and then set Android up.

Then follow the instructions on the installer.

Voila, UT is on your OPO 6T

@MrT10001 Hello, I also have a op6t and it's been 3 months I try to install UT and it don't work. I start with the installer but after flashing the recovery the phone bootloop, so I try to disconnect him during this time and manually flash the same recovery img from app cache. But it don't work. I also try to flash lineage 16 and after flash with fastboot img from gitlab build but the phone stay on the bootloader unlock warning. I also install ubports with halium boot and it's work but a lot off apps don't work like file manager, waydroid or ut tweaks so I can't use it. I use the same oos rom as you, litteraly but I don't understand.

Can you help me ?

@Lepotototor You have to be on a specific version of Android as per installer instructions which usually means using a downgrade ROM - see XDA developers forum. Once downgraded follow the instructions on the installer, it will install pretty easily, just be patient. It may seem to take some time, but the installer is doing stuff.

Download TWRP recovery, install it through fastboot from the bootloader. Format the data partition to EXT4.

Download a stock ROM which is the last version of Android 9 and is flashable through ADB sideloading or you have to install it manually through fastboot.

Then use the iUbuntu Touch installer to install Ubuntu Touch on the device following the instructions and again be patient.

@MrT10001 Yes Iuse the rom of the topic you show in your initial topic. You said I should be patient but it's normal that after the installer flash recovery the phone boot loop ?

@Lepotototor Ok start from step one:

boot into android.
enable developer mode system>settings>about phone. Hit Build number a few times to enable developer mode.
Enter developer mode, enable USB/ADB debugging and OEM unlock
4)boot to the bootloader and in fastboot unlock the bootloader
5)boot back into Android and set it up again
6)enable developer options and USB debugging again
copy the downgrade ROM to the root of the device, ie, NOT in a folder
go to system updates and do a local update. It will reboot and you will be on Android 9.04.
enable developer options and USB/ADB debugging again
Unplug and plug the device back in again
Reboot to the bootloader and run TWRP recovery.
In Wipe and advanced wipe, ensure the DATA partition is EXT4
reboot to Android
14)USB/ADB debugging should be enabled
Start the UT installer and follow the instructions.

You have to install Android 9
IF you have installed LineageOS or any other version of Android it will fail to install, it has to be on Android 9
USE the Installer, the fastboot commands are only required to get the device ready for installing UT.
If the device boot loops, usually it is because your DATA partition is not EXT4 or your bootloader is the wrong version (one of the many reasons why you use Android 9).

So you need to get back to Android stock ROM and make sure it is Android 9.

I lack a lot of the understanding of whys and wherefores with the need to set it up in a certain way before installing UT as I am not a software engineer/coder or genius, but if you follow the instructions it should and usually works.

One rule for all of this is keep it simple (KIS), don't complicate things by overusing the command line.
