I have a mpp 2.0 pen that worked on the jingpad, but it does not work with UBports 20.04 on the jingpad. Not sure if this is an issue with just the jingpad and UBports on it, or all UBports installs.

@YummyRam Hi, Welcome to the forums.

First off, the community is UBports. You are part of the community now!

The OS is called Ubuntu Touch or UT for short.

As the JingPad is the only device currently that could support stylus input, via the MPP 2.0 protocol, then I would say this is a JingPad specific issue. Or at least we should treat it as such to solve it, and then see if the solution can be generalized.

One way of trying to solve this is checking to see if there are MPP 2.0 drivers for Linux to begin with.

I just installed UT 16.04/Stable onto the Jingpad and the MPP 2.0 protocol pen works.

The pen does not work with the current 20.04 build of UT on the Jingpad hardware.

@YummyRam Yew, that is correct. I had forgotten that bit of info. Although I would not say it works, rather that it is detected.
