Global Mobile OS Market Share April 2023

Not sure how to embed the html or link directly to the dataset, but check out the movement last month!
https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/mobile/worldwideGo Other!
(Not sure if the change is just Android users getting smarter with ad blockers, or the fact that the average UT user owns like 5 devices...)
-
@prophanetes I can't see it, my browser settings and add-ons are blocking it... any chance you could show us a screen shot please?
-
@prophanetes Am I missing something? Other (the dotted line) is hugging the 0 percent throughout. Might you have confused the iOS graph for the Other?
-
@arubislander Ah, yep. I misread the legend. That's iOS eating into Android. Dang.
-
Expected results. iOS for some reason is the most popular in the UK, probably down to it's ease of use and polished feel, but still amazes me due to the cost of the hardware.
Still, 0.03% of others is a start! -
@Moem et al.
Here's how I made the mistake.
It started when I sent this gag to a friend.
Friend showed me this, all Platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile.)

Note Android is taking a sharp fall, Unknown is rising, and the dominant Apple dataset is shown purple. Edit: No, it's grey! Just that the purple one stands out more.Then I came back many hours later (well past my bedtime!) to look at Mobile OSes specifically.

Android falling at the same rate the underdog is rising. Blinded by expectation from the previous chart, I didn't realise that Apple had 'disappeared' from my perception.Whoops.
