I'm running 16.04 (OTA-25) on my OnePlus 6t. I don't have great battery life but if I keep wifi off when not using it I can get through the work day and charge when I get home. But today I noticed I was at 37% so I turned the phone off till I got home about 5 hours later, when I turned it on to charge it was at 0% and I got a battery level warning.

Does anyone know how it would go dead while being powered off, is it maybe an issue of the power off actually being like a deep sleep/hibernate type of thing ?

Or maybe a port or driver being given power even when turned off ?

Any help would be appreciated, it's almost to a point where I can daily drive even with it having some issues I'm good with that, but this and being able to have sms and calls without having to change settings are two big ones I would like.

@reiner2800 The OP6 and 6T have an issue with shutdown not working. This means the device stays on and your battery drains.

The workaround is to boot into the bootloader and shutdown from there.

To conserve battery life the workaround is to use flight mode, but that defeats the purpose of the device being a phone.

        I have too many devices...

@MrT10001 ahh that would make sense. For now I can do that.
