Installer stops with adb error
-
Dear all,
Hope that is the place to explain my problem.
I have a Sony XperiaX, unlocked.
Start to install UbuntuTouch with help of the installer.
First remark: no light blue nevertheless the procedure continues till it ot stuck with that message:
"The installation stopped due to a problem...
...
Error: adb:push: Error: {"error":{"code":1}}Any idea?
Thanks in advance -
@Thieb Have you tried a different usb cable, different usb port? Unplugged the device and plugged it back in and tried again?
(I assume the device is bootloader unlocked and not just carrier (SIM) unlocked). -
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I did unlocked the bootloader (at least, I have the message when I turn the device on).
Wanted now to use installer within a windows computer and now I have that message at the begining, after choosing the "SW binaries... loire" file:
"Error core manual_download: Error: checksum mismatch"According to my knowledges, with that phone, that is the pain... but will try again.

@Thieb Along the top of the UT installer are some menu options. Clear the cache from there of the installer.
-
Switch off the device. Press the louder key. Connect the phone while pressing the louder key with your computer. Wait until the blue light appears. Run the ubports Installer.

Hello,
good news: I finally installed UT on my XperiaX device! So happy.
Thank you for your advices. I did clear the cache actually.
Nevertheless, two points:- the blue light never appeared on the device... (white, green and red are working so is it possible that the blue is not?)
- at the very end, after the installer's success panel explaining the "the installation process from the computer is done" I got an error message that I unfortunately did not manage to report (shame...)
But after switching on the device, both the "your devices is unlocked" and "Sony" logo appeared then UT starts!
IDK if those above points are problematics for the future but for the time being...Yeah!
I will test that device in the following days as a daily phone. (now, that looks better compare to my Nexus 4 16.04.
Thank you again
Best, -
Congratulations, and I hope you'll enjoy it!
