        Hi all-
I have been using Ubuntu Touch (Xenial) on my Nexus 5. Aside from some MMS issues (which i've discussed here), i've been happy with it. I was hoping the latest updates would fix the issue, but it sounds like Xenial is essentially at end of life. Are there any plans to do a Focal version for Nexus 5? Or is it time for me to update to a more modern device? Thanks.

I'm not aware of any such plans, and I believe that this device is too weak to be worth the effort. It may be time to look for a replacement.

This topic is pretty much a duplicate of this one; I will move it into the device forum for this device, as that's where it belongs.

Thanks. Any recommendations for an older phone that works well with Focal? Maybe Pixel 3a?
Yes, i know the UBPorts pages list what is supported, just curious what everyones' experiences are.

@Fizz Pixel 3a/3aXL, OnePlus 5T, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and the OnePlus One is coming along quite nicely. These are the devices I have that work quite well on Focal (with some quirks) apart from the OnePlus One which still has some way to go.

@MrT10001 Thanks- any security / privacy issues with any of them? I know Ubuntu-Touch takes care of the software, but anything on the hardware side to be worried about from such a perspective?

@Fizz No, but a phone will never be a fully secure device as it will always ping your position from a cell phone mast or WiFi hotspot. Likewise to install UT the boot loader needs to be unlocked so there is an issue there too. The great thing about UT is that Google, Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi etc. are not scraping your data - no one is with UT.
