Well, the imei of my phone has been deleted... the funny thing is that I insert the sim and the OS is updated from the sim data but I can't make calls or receive calls. I check with *#06# and they come up empty. I have an X23, does anyone know how to recover them?

@nicolasrull Yes, in which you can go on a long internet search for various tools for your devices. Believe me, the fun part becomes a pain in the ass. Hardly anyone here in the forum will know what to do. The NVRam has to be restored because that's where the Imie is. Have fun, I experienced the same thing years ago with Xiaomi.

Here ist the Vollaphone Support with Telegram.

@nicolasrull Contact Volla and see if they have experienced this issue, as they are a sponsor of UT. The way I recovered from this, it was mainly the Nexus5, was to reinstall stock Android, then install UT on the RC or Stable channel.
There are other ways, but it can be a legal issue as it is illegal in some countries to manipulate the IEMI for various reasons.

But that would definitely be a mess, especially with the "in my opinion" overpriced Volla devices. Send the device back to the manufacturer and let them have a think about it. Otherwise, just get another device or your money back.

@DPITTI Whats with the negativity? The Volla phone is aimed at developers with a fair procurement of parts.
Ubuntu Touch is run by enthusiasts, not a US based conglomerate, so you will probably get more help on here or the Telegram channels than on a helpline to Google, Apple or Microsoft.

@MrT10001 I can explain this to you briefly and concisely. I myself have experienced more problems than benefits with UT. That's why I would never buy a Volla smartphone. Even if it were to become cheaper. I'm not a developer, just a bit of a flash enthusiast. However, I never had OK Volla myself. The only reason I'm so negative about UT is because I've also had problems flashing it. It already starts with the Android firmware of some devices. Conclusion never again Xiaomi or similar with UT. The partly high prices are also negative.

@DPITTI I get with the high prices. Likewise I get with Xiaomi, however after unlocking the bootloader of Xiaomi phones, the Redmi Note 7 is really good.
I guess for some experiences may vary.

@MrT10001 The devices are good from Xiaomi, no question. What annoys me are firmware searches that also fit. It is difficult to find the right firmware for the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Even on Android 10 in the original state it happens that the telephony does not work. This is then also the same with alternative systems. Well, I don't want to have a discussion. What is good and bad is Xiaomi once and never again.

I have 2 Xiaomi plus the tablet and I am delighted with them since they fly just as strong as them. I even remember a Chinese cell phone that every time I installed a ROM the IMEI was deleted and with an app that was in the store I put them in by hand... what simple times those were. Of the volla support... better not to mention, they know how to do one thing well, take the money. What it means to answer and help 0.
