        Hi all-

When my pixel 3a boots up, i first see the bootloader splash screen that warns me that the bootloader is unlocked and thus potentially vulnerable. How can i (or should i) relock the bootloader?

After it passes that screen, i see the Google splash screen for a few seconds before i see the Ubuntu Touch splash screen. Is this normal? Can i get rid of it? It's not critical, purely an aesthetic thing for me. 🙂

        Thanks!

        -Fizz

@Fizz If you lock the bootloader you won't be able to boot Ubuntu Touch. In some cases it may brick the device.
The Google splash screen on the Pixel phone cannot be removed without a lot of work and again if done could brick the device.

It's normal; I find that the easiest way to deal with it is to see it as a badge of honour, a reminder that you freed the device from Google's grip.

LOL, nice. As i said it was purely aesthetic for me. Certainly not worth my potentially bricking it.

Feel free to make a rude gesture of your choice in the general direction of Google (which should be easy because they're basically everywhere) and say "TAKE THAT!" or "Neener neener" every time you see it!

@Moem Unfortunately I can't work without Google, M$ or Apple. I use their data scraping products all day.😞

on many devices you can change this, see here, but unfortunately not pixel 3a, I created one for my xiaomi mi a2, I tried to find google logo for a couple of hours without success  it's probably encrypted

@Br1 I have created a few for the Motorola devices. On some it really screws up the fastboot menu for some reason.

Someone did a tutorial a long while back, but did warn it could brick the device under certain circumstances.

That's exactly what it did to me, downloaded bootlogo deleted fastboot logo 😠
to restore it I used this and created my bootlogo.
