@RJDan You can wait for the esim manager in UT although not sure when it'll land. You can probably try it out from the repo. Or you can reflash Android, set up the esim there then reinstall UT.

@lakeview Hello lakeview, I quote from https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/bonito/ : "You can install Ubuntu Touch on this device using the UBports Installer on your computer. Make sure the bootloader of your device is unlocked and that your device has the required version of Android installed. Before installing, follow the device-specific instructions below: Make sure it is NOT the verizon model, as that model does not allow the bootloader to be unlocked. If the device is running an Android version above 9.0, you have to downgrade to the last 9.0 release. Make sure to revert to factory image PQ3B.190801.002 before continuing." So for the factory image you need to go to https://developers.google.com/android/images#bonito . There you probably have to click on "Acknowledge [I have read and agree with the terms and conditions.]" and than you look at a long list for the factory image (PQ3B.190801.002 for the Pixel 3a XL "bonito"). Here are detailed step by step instructions: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/10906/ut-installation-on-google-pixel-3a-step-by-step And for a video tutorial to unlock the bootloader and installing the image, you can check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdNGSdYCaDY (but please be aware that you need the image for bonito and not for sargo) All of this will only work, if your device allows you to unlock the bootloader. One comment under the linked video explains: "Some more elaboration after further research. If you have a Pixel 3a/XL with an IMEI that does not begin with 35, then you are good to go: this phone is not a Verizon model and it will be possible to enable OEM Unlock. If the IMEI does begin with 35, then it might be a Verizon model, but you need more info to determine that. One way is if you have the original box. If the box lists two IMEI numbers and one eSIM number, then it is not a Verizon phone and it will be OEM unlockable. If it lists a SIM number, then it is Verizon, and will not be OEM unlockable. If you don't have the original box, you can go to Google Store Website > Repairs > Get Started, and enter the IMEI number. If there is no mention of Verizon in the device information, then you should be good to go with an OEM unlockable device. Hope this is useful for anyone looking for a second hand device to do this installation."

@ubuntoutou Check here on this thread. Check this out on TWRP. You can use TWRP to access partitions. This can be helpful in data recovery or making a backup. I do fear that you have lost all due to using the installer.

Greetings to all my fellow OP6T users! I've been testing UBT on my 6T Mclaren Edition off and on for about 2 years. Really love the OS but unfortunately because I live in the USA and only have VOLTE option, the phone is unusable as a daily driver. Now my concern, there is chatter about USA Cellular corporations soon switching to VoNR (Voice Over New Radio), if they do that the OP 5 and 6 phones will be officially phased out and unusable. So while there is still time to use our beloved devices as the actual phones they are, is there a way to activate VoLTE with command line? I don't care if it's not perfected yet, I at least want to do testing and help speed up the process because right now it's painfully slow. Like watching paint dry and I'm really tired of Android, but hate Apple enough to never switch to an iPhone. Really want to use UBT as a daily driver while we still have devices that we can run it on.

Not sure calls are working with UT on Pine devices anyway regardless of voLTE being enabled. Need to check on that.

Hi, I am using Ubuntu Touch on Shift6mq. I like to swap between Wifi Data and Mobile Data. The Wifi Data usually gives me a list of Networks and which one is connected. However, turning off Wifi Data, then turning on Mobile Data; then access internet, then turn off Mobile Data; then Power off and Power back on: The Wifi Data is set on, but there is no list of Networks. Access to previously accessed Networks does not work. I have not found a way to reactivate the Wifi Network from this condition. Can anybody help? cheers, Steve D

Hello everyone! I would like to install a working version of Ubuntu touch on my Sony Xperia 10 IV XQ-CC72 Is this possible? (I'm a noob) If there's a version out there that's close but not finished, and I can help make it happen (within my modest means), I'd be interested. Thank you! [Translated from French with deepL]

You can also try to reinstall with UBports Installer and NOT check "Wipe" option. It will reinstall the latest build without erase your data.

@rugby There is a huge lack at this level and yet a real demand. Nothing new on the program. There is only the Sony Xperia X indeed, although not very recent. As a user, this mid-range smartphone https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_xcover_5-10718.php seemed like a candidate for its price, size and performances, although I don't know anything about the feasibility of a focal port by a developer.

Hi @AppLee, with UT works: -Sim card with Data -WLan (not so strong then my other devices) -Foto -Loudspeakers Video (Browser) No Function: -GPS @kugiigi thanks but I am not on telegram. I searched for a good UT Guides, Firewall, VPN, Apps and etc. Any hints from the community which longer have their Hand on UT? Edit because of GPS!!!: be aware everyone of the following issue: Yesterday I tried to check the GPS functionality with this: https://docs.ubports.com/de/latest/userguide/dailyuse/location.html I turned on WLAN, insert a SIM Card and connect the charging cable. 15 min the device was very hot and shut down. I had recognize it to late because I only looked the display. After that I let the device cool down and booted up again. Greetings

@moem said in The device page requires community help: And so she types 'onep' or 'xper' or another suitable combination of letters... and the right options pop up (or there is a notice that this phone is not yet supported). It can't get quicker than that. The visibility of that option is very poor in either Dark Mode Firefox of Day Mode Pale Moon Also sometimes Search functions don't find what I am looking for while the thing I am looking for is actually there so I have stopped trusting them a very long time ago! I would not want to scroll down to Oneplus or Sony... Another option : https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris Easy to go through. Very specific overview of the stuff that works and doesn't Anyway, new options are coming, and you may even like them. Can't wait!

We appear to have two thrads going on about the same device and issue https://forums.ubports.com/topic/6913/sound-volume-is-very-low-how-can-i-boost-it can I suggest that @anonymoustly picks the one most relevant and we shut the other one. Just let us know and we can lock one. That will stop answers getting lost or duplicated.

@kyrylo welcome, however I would not advise getting a galaxy note 4 as my port is very incomplete, its missing call audio and has a few other issues I need to address, but I lack the time to do so

@darkcoder221 No, sorry. The port is currently in need of some work as the last bootable image failed to wake for phone calls. I am currently unable to put any time into fixing this.
