Great !@embeddedmz said in Bluetooth stopped working:
sudo service bluetooth restart
it blocks and never returns !Maybe next time (hope there will not be) BT hangs you could try the rfkill command for no reboot, read this post : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5771/how-to-stop-and-restart-bluetooth-service/15?_=1641805952497
-
@keneda it stopped working again and rfkill commands don't solve the issue anymore
-
@keneda and when I try to restart the bluetooth service, it stays forever (bluetooth stop/waiting).
-
@embeddedmz
I won't be able to help you further with command lines as i'm not an advanced Linux user.I can tell you some basics when you end with no other solution, wich is trying to reinstall with ubports software, without wiping data if you need to keep it, or full wipe if you don't.
But before that, you could tell more about your issue.
When did it occured ? Did you update OS and then it stopped ? Did you install some apps and then it stopped, did you mod you system files, etc...
The more details, the more likely someone can provide helpfull advices.
-
@embeddedmz If you really need Bluetooth, you can't restart the service or it won't connect, try a reinstall of Ubuntu Touch using the installer. Otherwise I wouldn't bother - for me personally, I don't require Bluetooth. I had an issue on my Pixel 2 losing Wi-Fi after the OTA-21 update - a reinstall solved it, all working with my usual apps installed in 20 minutes. Sometimes it is quicker to reinstall than try to and fault find if you need that service just to get it working.

Now its back after a restart. I will never disable it (but I'm afraid that if I enable airplane mode, the issue will reappears and I will have to wait for luck to fix it).
Maybe there's a link with airplane mode. I dunno.
-
@embeddedmz you are correct. I see same after reading your reply.
I am not able to say if this problem came with recent ota-21 update as I did not use BT before but niw I,see same problem you describe (including toggle goin back to disabled) -
@mkarpicki same problem on my device. I'm n rc channel.
-
@mkarpicki @messayisto are you both on MiA2 too ?
Maybe an issue to feedback to porter ? -
@keneda how to do this? vis github or the devices site?
-
@messayisto
On the device page https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/jasmine-sprout/ is said to contact @shouko .You can first try this.
-
You can also try this to get your bluetooth working : enable WiFi, shut down Ubuntu and then start it.
-
@keneda thanks, I will try this.
-
@embeddedmz Thank You for the hint. Indeed bluetooth is only working with wifi turned on. I will report this too.

@messayisto Opened an issue here:

by the way people, do you know why my bluetooth (laptop or smartphone) detect so many unknown devices ??!!?? We live in strange times and since I have never seen this before, can these devices be the people jabbed with the gene threapy shots (aka covid-19 vaccines containing military nanotechnology) ??

I thought that stuff was IPv6 based ?!
Would be kind of funny tho... tragic comedy!

@nero355 I will continue my research. Some say that it is the Covid-19 application (that holds the QR code), here in France, that could create a new bluetooth device.
But this phenomenon has been observed elsewhere, where this application does not exist.
I am VERY tired of the current BS and what the governments are doing to reduce our freedom that this kind of stuff is believebale for me (even if it's dumb). We are heading towards an Orwellian dystopia.

@embeddedmz
So it wasn't a joke the bluetooth vaccine ?!
Probably lost in translation, but I'll clarify things nonetheless.So this forum is apolitical, so please keep your opinions for yourself.
We respect everyone's choice but this is not the place for this.And on a technical standpoint, I doubt nanotech is so far advanced.
Your bluetooth devices are probably one from your neighbours, 10m can be a wide range in dense areas.
