Nexus 5 16 stable screen alignment off after hdmi attempt

Hello,
Just flashed a Nexus 5 with 16 stable, seems to work fine for awhile. After I tried plugging in a usb to hdmi to see if it would go on the monitor, the screen alignment dropped about a half inch up, so now the top half inch of screen appears on the bottom of the screen. The touch input is off the same amount. I have reset many times and rotated the screen hoping it would fix itself, but its stuck.
Ideas?
