How to change the size/scaling of the telegram desktop client
-
I have a new installation of 18.04 on my laptop with a 1920x1280 (I think 12 inch). It's running wayland. I'm using gnome with 100% scaling in the settings.
Some things are slightly too small, like firefox, but the telegram desktop client is ridiculously huge. The smallest window where I still see contact list and chat history takes two thirds of my screen.
Does anyone have an idea how to scale desktop telegram down?
NB: I'm not talking about a UBports telegram app, but the application installed via Ubuntu Software (apt).

@doniks have you tried to set the UI on 'automatic' in Telegram's Settings > Interface scale?

The real question, why is this feature not tied to [CONTROL]+[+]/[-]?
This is the expected UI/UX of almost everything these days.
