How to stop data when the screen is off

I'm an happy owner of the nexus 5 and everything work well with ubport. Thanks again to the team.I have just one issue with battery drain. When the data is off, the battery drain is almost horizontal, but as soon as the data is on, the battery drain is really quick even when the screen is off.
So, I search a way to automatically stop internet data/wifi when the screen is off and resume them when I turn it on. I'm pretty sure that somewhere there is a script to launch command when you turn the screen on and off.
Is there any drawback ? For information, I don't use push mail and don't like notification for Internet stuff.
