Many thanks for this update . It's really good to hear that someone is still working to improve core apps because i had a feeling that apps like Messaging App are not developed anymore.
I've got question regarding dialer-app. Is there any chance that someone will have a look at this app? There are several tickets on qithub starting from 2017 that are not even assigned. -

@tricky there is a lot of issues and not a lot of people or time to implement them. If you are able to help out in any way, I would encourage you and anyone else who is able to, to do so.
