        Hello, any suggestions for where to get a GSM SIM card for very low phone use for this? It is the exact Nexus 5 recommended and works perfectly with WiFi.

          --- I know that some companies' SIM cards need an android app to be a part of activation, but it is hard to find out which ones.

            It would help if you gave your home country so that fellow residents could offer suggestions.

                @nom said in GSM SIM for Ubuntu touch on Nexus 5:

                @trainailleur apologies, USA.

                Either T-mobile or AT&T (or the smaller companies, that use their networks, such as Metro or Ting) should work. I have gotten good rates and service with T-moble for my UT devices.

                Best regards,
                Steve Berson

                    I've been using H2O Wireless for years and just started it on my Ubuntu Touch Nexus 5. I set it up manually and it works fine. I get unlimited data, text, etc. for $28 a month. H2O Wireless uses the AT&T towers. I transferred the nano SIM from my iphone 6 with a micro SIM adapter with no problems. Call quality and data has always been good. There is no contract.

                      Late response here: I just joined forum tonight. I use Ting in US, and use GSM SIM for my Nexus 5 running Ubuntu Touch. It's been fine so far.
