New SIM Card Flaw Lets Hackers Hijack Any Phone Just By Sending SMS
-
Hello,
Are we anyhow affected by this https://thehackernews.com/2019/09/simjacker-mobile-hacking.html ?Dubbed "SimJacker," the vulnerability resides in a particular piece of software, called the S@T Browser (a dynamic SIM toolkit), embedded on most SIM cards that is widely being used by mobile operators in at least 30 countries and can be exploited regardless of which handsets victims are using.

@Zerg I think Sim Toolkit is not supported on UT, correct me if I'm wrong.
-
@Stefano There is no application for interacting with SIM Toolkit in UT. However, this attack is exploiting a feature of the SIM card itself. The software in question is embedded in the SIM and running underneath the OS layer, and communicates directly through the baseband modem device.
