gsettings, in particular launcher-position

Hi,

I thought it might be good to have the launcher on the bottom edge, and did some searching and found:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Launcher launcher-position Bottom

It seems to accept the setting and when I read back the value it's changed, but nothing changes in the UI. Does anybody know if this should be possible?

That is a setting in the schema left over from unity7 I guess. The launcher in Unity 8 cannot be moved to another edge.

A shame it cant be moved, i'm left handed, so hold the phone with my right hand, which makes the left side launcher uncomfortable to use, going to add it as a suggestioni think, im sure im not the only leftie using UT!
