Fantastic job so far. Few questions
-
Oh a possible twitch appeared as well?
-
Oh and last one ; a torrent client?
-
Also I just attempted a
sudo nano /etc/hosts
to edit my host file but I can't save it. I get read only file system
(trying to add the hosts file recommended on a previous thread.)Edit: So I just read the image is Read only and I don't particulary want to make my system Read-Write. Is there another way to change my hosts file to add in this hosts file without changing my system to Read only?
https://github.com/AdAway/AdAway/wiki/hostssources
If the only way is to make my system RW then unfortunately I'll do that. I'd rather crawl through a kilometre of broken glass than read an advert quite frankly.
Whilst I'm here is there are any tutorials for setting up Libertine on ubuntu touch (I understand it allows you to run desktop apps?)

I used to do this: RW + change /etc/hosts for a long time on UT without any real problem.
Actually the only way how I really ever broke stuff with RW was when I did apt upgrade - stay clear of that or be prepared to reflash.

Hey thanks man
I feel like I need some help with libertine though. I'm essentially trying to install transmission and running the command
libertine-container-manager -p/transmission
I also tried
libertine-container-manager install-package transmission
Thanks
Oh btw if anyone wants to amke the system Read write you can do so via the UT tweaks app in the ubuntu store. -

Should be
libertine-container-manage install-package -p transmission
If it doesn't work, copy/paste exactly what you executed and what the response was.
transmission worked quite nicely for me in the past, because you can enable the webinterface and then control it from the UT browser.

Thanks man. You're the bomb. That appears to install. And finally (Sorry)
what's the command to launch it?I've ran libertine-launch container-identifier transmission
and
libertine-launch transmission
as well as libertine-container-manager exec transmission
if I do the lisp-apps command the only package that shows is
Ubuntu 'Vivid Vervet'
However if I run the transmission install command again it says it's already installed. Thanks

@ControlledCorpse
Just install the Desktop App Scope from the Canonical scope, and you will see your installed apps there -
Hmmm it doesn't appear under that application.
Desktop scopes doesn't appear in my menu but if i go into ubuntu store search for desktop scopes I get
No applications available. Install new applications with the Libertine manager.

I don't understand what you're saying. What do you have installed/ not installed? Who says what? Maybe screenshots would help.

Its “desktop apps scope” which when installed will find any xapps you have already.
But you have to have libertine container installed ( done via terminal) the info is here on the forum. -
Look on the forum SUPPORT
and then. DESKTOP APPS
