Alternative repositories of Androids apps

The problem with the alternative repositories of Androids apps is that they very rarely contain the most recent versions of the Androids apps found on the google playstore.
So what are the best, most reliable and up to date alternative repositories? where to find the last .apk of an app outside playstore ?

@ziggutas Thanks for your answer. In fact after research, https://github.com/whyorean/YalpStore/releases should pretty much live up to my expectations.

@domubpkm don'y think Yalp is maintained anymore and is broken.
Aurora is more actively maintained, is prettier, and actually works
