Uftp app not connecting via sftp (ssh)

Hi all, new user here.
I have a Oneplus One handset, and installed Ubuntu Touch via UBports about 2 weeks ago, have been getting used to it, and really like it, being a fan on Linux and privacy.
However, I have a couple of other Linux servers on my LAN that support sftp / ssh. The only file browser app in the UT open store for an sftp connection appears to be 'uftp'.
I can use the Ubuntu Touch terminal app to connect to these servers using ssh quite fine, so port 22 is not blocked between the handset and server (and also from other computers).
I have made a few attempts to set up connections using uftp to these servers, but each time I try to connect to either, I just get the blue waiting circle, no access. I have tried this locally, and also tried remote connections via my domain name, all fail.
Also, the app offers no way to edit or delete a connection configuration, even uninstalling and reinstalling the uftp app does not clear the configurations. Are the uftp connection configs kept in a text file somewhere that I can go and edit?
Bugs aside, I love this OS and what it offers, many thanks to all involved!

Anyone else have success / failure with the uftp app?

I am able to use uFTP to connect to my remote web server hosted by BlueHost with no problem, but it uses a standard FTP connection.

Unfortunatelying I've set my servers up only with SFTP, no FTP, just for an added layer of security (even within my LAN).
Uftp description on open store says it can work with sftp, makes me wonder if its an issue with the app on the Oneplus One?
again, using Terminal I can SSH happily to these servers.

@scottbouch I am also not able to connect to any of my local sftp servers with the app. Browsing the log it seems there is some error in the application preventing a succesful connection attempt.
I would suggest raising an issue with the author of the app.

@arubislander hi, thanks... I tried that via the app store, but as sods law would have it, I can't log into my GitLab account (covered in another topic) on my UT phone!
Later on my PC I'll try to contact him.
good to know its not just me, so I can mention others are seeing the same issue.
can you tell me where I can find the log file? it may be useful to him.

@scottbouch For easy log file viewing and sharing I would suggest you install LogViewer from the Open Store. On first run, be sure to change the Pasetbin user in the settings to something other than the default. This will enable you to post the content of log files to Pastbin.
