Oneplus 6 - screen stays on and can't adjust brightness

Got the latest build installed on my Oneplus 6, but couple of issues came up. The display never turns off and the brightness can't be adjusted. I did some searching in the forum, but didn't find any information on the subject.
It's my first post, so please let me know if I missed something or if there's any way to address these issues. Thanks!

Sounds like the port is not complete - where did you take the sources from?
