I obtained the IMEI number from the SIM card tray. However, when I look at Ubuntu Touch settings it says IMEI is none. How and where do I set the IMEI so it is recognized by Ubuntu Touch? I will need to do this before I take the phone to mobile service provider. They would like to see it recognized by the phone in order to provide service.

        Hi @michaelnino

This has been made difficult by design. You should try and contact the manufacturer (even if it can be difficult in your case).

IMEI is normally obtained automatically. Does the device recognize the SIM at all? Whats shown when you go into system settings and then Network category?
