I am not sure, from reading if the camera still needs gst-droid to function. If it does where in the forum can I find the info. Thanks in advance.

@captainzer0 Maybe not. I recently replaced all with stock (on dev channel) and the camera of my OnePlus3 still takes pictures fine. Have not extensively tested it yet though.

Edit: actually it seems like the cutomized version of the camera app is now included in the images? I updated and the "unstable" camera app was back in the open-store listing on my Oneplus3.

Fairphone 5 (Not yet installed UT on it though)

@captainzer0 iirc camera but not video on OP3 no camera on 3t using the installer. Think gst-droid is to do with halium ports. Is this it https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3257/how-to-test-gstreamer-droid-based-camera-support-in-ubuntu-touch-for-halium-7-1-based-port/105?_=1611449076820

Well thanks. I have never used the dev channel but that is making my choice to move from my opo to a op3 seem a good one. For a daily driver is it still better to go RC or stable on this device?

@captainzer0 There is currently an issue with dekko2 not working on Dev at present due to the change to QT5.12 so keep that in mind.

@captainzer0 At present I would say RC if you use Dekko2 especially. A fix is underway for dev so it shouldn't be for to long.
