Phone calls or SMS but not both

Is anyone having the same issue, it seems one or the other works (phone calls or SMS) but not both depending on if cellular data and roaming are checked on or not. I am using T-Mobile is this the norm or have I missed something in an earlier thread that fixes this issue, APN settings maybe?
PS the interface is stupendous and has come a really long way since i last looked at it a year or two ago.

@kmsgli i haven't had that issue, mine works flawless for a day or some time and then I lose calls and sms and have to reboot. I heard it wasn't just the 3a but a few different halium 9 devices with these issues

If I could get a day at a time I would just reboot every morning. Do you have mobile data and roaming on? Are you using T-Mobile or any special APN settings?

@kmsgli im using at&t, i copied the apn settings from a working android

@dieharddan so i re flashed a couple times and got mobil data and cell service working correctly and the phone worked perfect for a day. By the end of the day i lost mobil data so i tried restarting which ended up stuck on the goolge splash screen and couldn't get it to boot without re flashing and wiping user data.
It was totally usable as a daily driver if all i needed to do was reboot it once in a while but not sure how to avoid the frozen google screen?

@kmsgli I'm not really sure, I have not experienced the freezing issue at all

@dieharddan @kmsgli just noting that SMS in and out now 100% reliable. MMS takes some fiddling with APN to clear out, can't have multiple APNs with the same name (one for internet, one for MMS). But after getting it set, should work in and out for MMS photos when WIFI OFF. WIFI ON is still a problem beyond the P3a.
