dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration on libertine
-
You want to change the keyboard layout of the on screen keyboard?
-
@arubislander No, i mean my connected BT Keyboard. The configuration of the UT settings are not stable in the apps of my libertine container, e.g. xchat-gnome or abiword.
-
@chriss_toni Not stable in what sense? The keyboard indicator in the top panel should show you what current layout is being used, and you can access the settings from there for external keyboard.
-
@chriss_toni e.g. I start abiword and the keyboard is set to qwertz. a moment later i start xchat-gnome and the keyboard is set to qwerty, or the other way round. that although my country setting is set to [De] in the UT settings throughout the system.
-
@dobey Yes that's right. With the keyboard connected, I can define the hardware keyboard in the quick settings at the top right. in UT I couldn't find any problem either.
-
@chriss_toni OK. Interesting. Perhaps there is a bug with xmir or libertine then in setting up the xkb stuff for some apps when they start. If with an app focused where it is the wrong layout, does selecting the layout again from top menu with the mouse, or using the keybinding (sorry, I don't recall which modifier+Spacebar it is), cause the layout to be correct again in the app where it's broken?
-
@dobey yes, I could already determine exactly what you are writing.
-
@chriss_toni Could you please open an issue at https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch with detailed info about how to recreate the problem? Thanks.
-
@dobey I'll try it. can i get in there with a simple registration via email?
-
@chriss_toni Yes.
