Hi people, I just got a Pixel 3a XL, I started to play a little bit with the phone, and doing some research I found that under libertine, Steam could be installed enabling multiarch.

Of course what I'm doing I don't think it will have success, but at least I would like to know if I'm following the correct steps.

libertine-container-manager configure --id desktopapps --multiarch enable

when I introduce that line it shows that is unable to continue since configure is missing a sub-command (?). The previous steps worked, so I was wondering if I'm doing this the wrong way.

If you know a different way that multiarch can be enabled, it would be great to know

        Thanks

@thousandtopics This will not work without a x86 emulator like box86 and even with one it will be very slow.

          Fairphone 5 (waiting for port)

@povoq that's sad . . well, so multiarch would be useless to enable it if possible then

@thousandtopics The blog post you linked to was about running Steam under Libertine on a PC. Steam (and pretty much all the games available in it) do not support ARM devices at all. The Android/iOS Steam app is only for 2FA, chat, and browsing the store really.

As far as multiarch goes, on an arm64 phone like the Pixel 3a, it might be useful if there's some 32-bit armhf binary that you need to run, but otherwise generally not useful, indeed.

@dobey Don't worry, it's fine. I have been chatting with people in telegram checking that question I did. Yes, after some time thinking, it's libertine on PC. I'm aware that the android apps for steam does not launch any games.

I knew that it might not work, but I was just wondering that if there was a chance of multi-arch dependency to be installed, I could maybe get x86 sort of emulation/binaries to see a laggy steam, I was not expecting to see a fully functional app to be honest.
