KDE Plasma

Any plans on incorporating KDE Plasma mobile into the ubuntu touch installer. The plasma look and feel was really nice.

Hi and welcome @epruitt373
This question's been asked some times here
The short-ish answer is that KDE uses a more recent version of Qt than we do on Ubuntu Touch.
5.12 vs 5.15 AFAIKSo while porting apps from KDE (I mean all sorts of apps) is theoretically possible, the version of Qt required might be an issue.
About the other part of this question: replacing Lomiri with KDE Plasma that is not the goal.
The goal is to grow Lomiri and improve compatibility with KDE apps and vice versa. Will it be possible to replace one by the other, I hope so because it would mean that the core and the UI are clean and separated and not intertwined...

@epruitt373 As Plasma Mobile is not an operating system, it will not be included in the installer, no. Plasma Mobile also recently announced that they will only be supporting mainline Linux devices as a target for the shell.
As for installation of the Linux distributions which offer a Plasma Mobile variant for some devices, there is no standard way of installing such things on those devices yet. You'll notice that the UBports Installer also cannot install Ubuntu Touch to the Pinephone currently, for this reason.

I think someone is working on getting https://droidian.org/ into the Ubports installer, which currently uses Phosh, but I think could also support KDE Plasma in the future (maybe it already does, not sure).
