How to stop Music app from adding audio files in directories other than Music to library

I'm using a MicroSD card for extra storage on my Sony Xperia X. No matter where I place audio files on the SD card, they are added to the music library. This is inconvenient as I need to store non-music mp3's on the card. Is there any way that I can restrict the Music app's access to just the Music directory?

@eclku0 Hi, you can prevent mediascanner from scanning separate folders by adding a file named ".nomedia" into them.
Maybe you need to clean up the database of mediascanner by deleting "/home/phablet/.cache/mediascanner-2.0/mediastore.db", but I don't think it's necessary. -
