Not everything is smooth but in fact it was just a small thing to fix to get most things working πŸ˜‰

@flohack Congratulations. Does that mean it is ready to be added the the UT installer, or is there still some development to be done?

@cliffcoggin I am just fixing an install bug, then its ready to go. However, some things that work on the Xl without issues are still to be fixed here.
I am a bit sad that although the device is nearly identical to the XL, it behaves differently. For example, video recording does not work right now. I did not try a SIM card yet

@flohack Hooray!!! i couldn't believe it when i saw the pixel 2 was supported. i have a nexus 5 with Ubuntu touch but it's in rough shape. i switched the pixel 2 to LineageOS but then switched back when i saw it on the list. then the installer said device not recognized i was so disappointed! just this morning i looked again and came across your post πŸ™‚ awesome!! doing a happy dance! really wonderful!

@flohack The Pixel 2 will be an option for me when support for Nexus 5 ends. All other UT phones are too big for my liking.

Well thats a good motivation for me to fix things πŸ™‚ Currently keymaster process keeps crashing, and I did not try calling. But will put SIM inside now πŸ˜‰ - Seems like SIm card is working and at least I can hear my voice box talking 🐷

@flohack There is certainly interest in smaller phones that can run UT! Several of my friends have asked about precisely that.

                      Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

+1 There's no successor for my E4.5. I'm hoping that there will be some smaller (dual-sim) phones running with UT in the future

                        BQ Aquaris E4.5 (UT 16.04)
                        Vollaphone (UT 24.04)
                        Vollaphone 22 (UT 24.04)
