Bluetooth switches off during telephone calls.

I have installed Ubports OTA16 rc in an MiA2 all good, really almost ready for daily driver and finally dump Android, as i indicated here: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/6933/mi-a2-installing-using-the-ubports-installer/8

I have only one problem on this way. Bluetooth works perfectly fine only that it disconnects during telephone calls (incoming and outgoing) it reconnects again after the call.

The software seems to recognize it as when it disconnects shows the speaker volume and when it reconnects it shows Bluetooth volume.

I had the same problem with a Xperia X in which I have installed Ubports also.

Additionally, to overcome this problem, in the MiA2 I have tried various USB C to headset converters, none works.

This means that hands-free in auto does not work (what would be the only impediment as a daily driver).

Has anyone had the same problem?

I have read in one of the other threads that Ubuntu Touch and Bluetooth are not exactly best friends and that you should keep in mind that it can give you a lot of issues!

Another issue is that there is very little room for any development of a better working Bluetooth Stack so don't expect any fixes anytime soon...

Pairing devices, when devices works with your UT phone, can be tricky.
And devices that can work with an UT phone is a subject by itself, that has its own topic here on the forum.

But BT itself, activating, staying activated whatever you do, and going off when wanted, can work quite well.
For instance, i have no problem on my MX4 with BT.

@keneda Thank you, but I have exactly that problem. Devices pair with no problem and work very well with music, but when I want to do a call the telephone disconnects the Headset . Connects again after the call finishes.

i had exactly same issue with a Xperia X.

I have updated to OTA 20 but the telephone still makes the same.

BT works fine with app but not with phone call.

I made many test, it seems that dialer app can't use BT.

the phone ring sound is in my BT device but if I pick up the call
the speaker is enable and bt disable instantly
when I hang up the phone speaker instanly disable and BT instanly enable.

perhaps /etc/pulse/default.pa can be modified to "force"bt all the time? but I don't
find solution.
