Are there any ways to make video calls on Pixel 3a XL? Waydroid and Signal did not work for me.

@dizzy Try something that runs inside the browser. I've heard that video calls in Morph will work on the next OTA, so you may need to switch from the stable release channel to something a little more beta.

@dizzy - on RC or Devel channel camera and mic access now works in the Morph browser - so web based video chat services like https://whereby.com should work if you give Morph permission to access mic and camera when the dialog pops up.
