Amazing work! -
RE: Test alternative pin code prompt - system settings integration
Dont overwork it. Its fine as it is. If you need something more secure, use a proper password. My two cents...

RE: the definite VoLTE deadline date in the USA is now known
@rondarius I could definitely pay for hosting my Nextcloud at UBPorts if that would make them earn some money. Remember Ubuntu One by the way? Long time ago

Allow certain notifications on silence mode
I would also like to see this feature.
I would also like to have another function implemented that might be related.
When in silent mode, it should be possible to let some calls and sms through, like the favourites in contacts. -
Oneplus 5 / 6 or Pixel 3a, 16.04/20.04 supported
Will Oneplus 5 / 6 or Pixel 3a be supported when UT is updated to 20.04?
If not, what Android phone should I buy today, for it to be well supported now and after?
At this point I have a Pinephone with UT and a Pinephone Pro will arrive today according to DHL. PPP will not be supported by current version of UT and that's why I'm thinking of buying an Android too.
I bought a PP to play around with the other linux version and had no plan at all to play with UT but then I tested it. What can I say, I feel in love with it the moment I tried it. I must have a device running UT well! -
RE: Which phone model would be best for my requirement?
I really really love UT!
I have a PinePhone and I will get a PinePhone Pro today, if you can trust DHL, but UT is still a little bit to unfinished on that device. When can we expect it to work properly on PP, or even more important on PPP?
I'm also wondering what device to buy. I was thinking of a Xiaomi Mi A2 but I'm not sure where to find one. I can't find any of the ones on the list... -
Make it possible to set default app
If not already possible the ability to set default app should be implemented.
I encountered a problem with this when trying out Onion Surf. Onion Surf then became default app and the only way I could revert it was to uninstall Onion Surf.
I think it should be pretty easy to implement that.
But no hurry -
RE: Hardware.......
Is Pixel 3a as complicated to unlock and install? That phone I can actually find to buy.
Working good with UT
Edit: Never mind. I will read about it

RE: Call/number blocking wish list
@klh said in Call/number blocking wish list:
@dizzy Silent mode / dnd was split into a separate topic (can't find it now though, not sure what happened - if nobody beats me to it I'll probably work on that one too). This one is about blocking specific numbers from being able to call/message you
I want this to be a part of the OS, not an app. As for donations, you can always donate to UBports: https://ubports.com/donate
If it will be easy to shift between "block Blacklisted" and "allow only Whitelisted" then this function could maybe be used anyway!?!
Yes, built into the OS is what it should be!
Are you working for UBPorts? If not, it should be nice if we could contribute to you personally I think. I'm already donate to UBPorts and will keep on doing that yearly. But of cause, if you think we should donate to UBPorts instead we can do that.

RE: Call/number blocking wish list
Amazing if this can come true!
I would also like to be able to let some calls go through when on silent mode. Just like alarm still notifies even on silent mode. Maybe favourites in Contacts.
When I'm away from home working, I would like to be able to activate silent mode in the night and still let my wife and doughter to be able to reach me in case of an emergency. You can do that on Android for example.
Will this be built in the OS or an app? If not an app, how can we contribute with money when it's finished?
Thank's for your effort on this very important function!

RE: Fingerprint misbehavin'
@arubislander You are right, I did missunderstand that. Thanks for the explaination!

RE: Fingerprint misbehavin'
@fredldotme Well, a lots of others do know what Im talking about. Just search for it here for example. The last thread about it would probably be "Sound not going through bluetooth headphones". So I would say working partially, not more.
-
RE: Fingerprint misbehavin'
@emphrath its the same on mine. No pattern what I can see. I think "fingerprint unlock" working should be changed to partially. The same goes for bluetooth.
Dont get me wrong, Im fine with it not working 100% and I understand it too but it should not be advertised to be working. Thats all I say. -

For your BQ, try uAdblocks (consider donation if you like it).
https://open-store.io/app/uadblock.mariogripWow, so its actually blocking even on YouTube?

RE: Why uAdBlock currently no longer works
@domubpkm That worked. Thanks for the help!.
