Desktop operating systems don't have anything close to the privacy and security protections of AOSP or iOS. It doesn't have a proper app sandbox, doesn't use strict full system MAC, lacks modern exploit protections, hardly uses memory safe code, doesn't heavily use sandboxing in the OS and much more.

@homer there are no bugs about any of that on github, you should report it so more people who develop or work on the app can know about the bugs, and try to fix it.

@scofus Nice one. This is were I run the powershell (Windows 11 - Linux slightly different) for adb fastboot from: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools This is with the latest version of Android Studio. All my devices get picked up in Windows as Android devices and connect without issue after installing Android Studio. I always had issues just installing specific USB, ADB and fastboot drivers for devices. What I have found, much like PC's is as you have done is to persevere. You worked it out in the end, good luck with UT.

@joão-fornaza With Xiaomi you have to use a Windows PC and use the Mi Flash tool to flash back to stock ROM. Word of warning with Xiaomi, DO NOT LOCK the bootloader once it is unlocked. You have a great chance of bricking the device.

@valar_orome Yes, it is absolutely possible. The link, that Mario posted, is correct. No need for ADB, just fastboot. (BTW.: meanwhile ADB is working in UT at FP3)

@magdesign I haven't any android which supports a/b partitions.
