The thread also has some other details and a lot of speculation. I am not saying that they will go bust tomorrow, but I think they need to reevaluate their strategy. Personally I think they could learn a bit from how Framework does it and lean into repairability and upgradability.

@Opolork I think the main concern about UT support is the last kernel version that the device has. For example, the older devices like Nexus 5 and bq E5 are not supported anymore because Ubuntu 20.04 has features or functionalities that need things from a newer kernel version that those devices don't have. Technically it is still possible to do but it'll take effort from someone and that someone doesn't exists There could be other things that might matter in terms of support so it basically depends on how much effort is needed to stay supported and if there's someone willing to do the work

@kugiigi Yeah, I would do that, but its a mess. I have only an old github account, and when I try to login to gitlab I cannot finish verificationprocess. So I cannot file an issue. It does not work via login to openstore neither. I am desperate, but the forum and some telegramgroups are the only way for me to announce bugs. Someone with a working gitlab account and the knowlegde of filing issues there could help, please -?
