What os do you install from, what ubports installer do you use, was a custom rom on the phone in the past, what step block, what error you have in installer, etc... ? -
@keneda Hello linux Mint computer. The phone was installed Android 10 and Installer 0.9.5 beta. The Ubports installer takes a very long time to format the partitions and after that it no longer sees the phone. Upload then by twrp android and the phone works. I suspect that something is wrong with the phone.

I don't think the phone is the problem, at least an hardware issue, because you succeed to install android.Did a custom rom was installed on the phone at any time before you try installing UT ?
Is thats your phone from pristine or you got it used ?
Before anything else you could try to use previous ubports installer, 0.8.8 that is known working for instance.

Could you try, as suggested, 0.8.8 installer as a first try to solve your problem ? -

That sounds like the installer did not find the partitioning in the phone as it expected it to be. In other words, the partitions may not be standard.
Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop. -

I don't know, but there is one question I have: did that phone come out with Android 10, or with an earlier version? In other words, was it on the stock version of Android?

That was the first thinking i had, but recent thread about that kind of issue talked about not being able to mount partition, there it seems to get throu, but fails reconnect abd link after reboot.That's why for a first try i suggested using previous installer.

@marekf Can you install TWRP? If you can format the partitions through that. It looks like you have an issue with partition size.
If you can install TWRP and format the partitions, then install the correct stock ROM and try again.
I will say use a Windows PC and the Mi Flash tool to do this, making sure you DO NOT relock the bootloader. I have tried it on an Ubuntu machine and the Windows Mi Flash tool made it really easy and it worked.
(I have a Mi A2 and it was a bit finicky to get UT on, but I followed the instructions and used the Mi Flash tool to install the correct ROM.) -
