        @arubislander Thanks for your reply.
        Actuallay I asked him before. If I understood him right it's not up to him. The decision is made somewhere else. Therefore I asked here hoping the powers that be are reading along πŸ‘“ 🀞 .

              @muskist actually the PR to add it to the installer was just opened 5 days ago at time of writing: https://github.com/ubports/installer-configs/pull/166

                Hi @muskist,

                if you don't want to wait, you can just download the installer-config file and execute the ubports-installer from the terminal like this:

                $ ubports-installer -v -f X605.yml

                Devices: BQ e4.5, Fairphone 2, Fairphone 3, Lenovo X605F, Pinephone, Moto Z2 Force, OnePlus5T

                    @luksus - thanks so much for your work on this. Does this also mean that the X605 can also get OTA updates?

                      Yes.
                      It has some quirks to reboot into system, after an update, but there are ways to workaround it... for example boot to recovery and just restart again.

                        OK!
                        I've got a x605 "polar witheβ€œ with less memory (2 GB and 16 GB) but "brand new" (via Ebay).
                        I already updated it to Android 9 (from 8).
                        In the coming days I will try...

                        Thanks!

                          @flaviomala Hi, I don't want to damp your enthusiasm, but it may be that we have issues with the 2GB/16GB version of this tablet.

                          Somehow it seems that the recovery is not working anymore, when flashed with a modified recovery.img. But this is essential for the installer and OTA updates to work.

                          I am currently investigating this issue.

                          What still works, is flashing the latest build artifacts with fastboot manually from here:

                            @luksus OK Thanks!
                            Errata Corrige: "polar white" (a little dyslexic...!)

                            A question:
                            give it a try with "installer"... or directly manually?

                              Please give it a try and let us know, if it works. Maybe the issue is only happening on some 2GB/16GB devices.
                              Thanks.

                                @Luksus sorry for necro-ing this post, but do you think this might work with the lenovo m11 tablet as well?

                                  I'm not Luksus... but in general, it's a very bad idea to try to install on a different device than the one that is supported. It could easily leave you with an expensive serving tray.

                                  Is currently using an Op5t
                                  Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

                                    @castpixel no, the M11 is a totally different tablet.
